Attack of the hummers

We look forward every spring to the return of our tiny friends We have Black-chinned and Ruby-throated hummingbirds. They show up about mid-March and by mid-April they are here in force. Beginning about mid-April, we are putting out about a gallon of sugar water every day. So far this year (mid-March to end of May) we have used about 50 pounds of sugar to feed our little friends!
