Commissioning week at the Naval Academy We take part in the week-long US Naval Academy commissioning activities culminating in the commissioning of over 1,000 Midshipmen as Naval Ensigns or Marine 2nd Lieutenants. One of Jane's childhood friend's son was commissioned as an Ensign.
